Our History
Hume Hardwood Flooring is a family-run business (2nd Gen) that takes pride in creating and restoring both beautiful and functional commercial & residential wooden floors.
Originating in Glasgow in the early 1960s – we are now based in Falkirk serving all of the UK.

We offer a comprehensive range of commercial & domestic services from sanding and installation, to full maintenance of your flooring investment.
Sanding
Utilising state of the art sanding machinery to reduce dust. All our sanding is carried out to a high standard to ensure a smooth as possible finish.
Installation
We offer sub-floor preparation through to installation of: strip, block, reclaimed timber & parquetry flooring.
Maintenance
We provide maintenance packages which adhere to manufacturers’ recommendations, ensuring that your investment is cleaned, maintained properly and given the attention it requires.

Hume is one of the leading sanding & maintenance contractors for education & leisure flooring in the UK. We work with a diverse portfolio of clients to enhance and protect their flooring investment.
Commercial
Hume understands that high traffic commercial flooring needs regular high quality maintenance and rapid restoration to minimise downtime. We work closely with our partners to provide bespoke maintenance and restoration packages.
Residential
Hume has been successfully working with domestic customers to fulfil their bespoke project requirements for over 50 years.
